Think positive and cheers!

La ricetta è very, very easy & delicious.

So… no excuses #youmusttryit !!!

Roasted chickpeas with paprika

September has arrived and, as every year, it’s time to get back to work, to study and to reorganize our own thoughts in a meaningful way (at least I try). You return to read (I’m focused, stacks of books waiting for me) to write (saying more) and tell (something about me, someone else or something else … #wellfindoutjustreadinghere).

You return from vacation more energetic than before. We go back to the dear old habits, to the beloved #friendsmeeting post work to make long talk during happy hours. We return with lots of new good intentions (many, too many). You returned to plan (new works, new recipes, new trips, etc …), trying to carry out the wishes (primarily those of a friend, future bride, who for her bachelorette party wants to go dancing ) and to meet their own needs. ?

It returns looking hopeful for the future, pointing to new heights, never stop dreaming.

Thus, yesterday, an easy aperitif with friends has turned into a special time to celebrate!

Thanks to my friends with the same name Giovanna G. and Giovanna Z., which often cuddle with me very welcome gifts, we uncorked a bottle of Theresianer Premium Pils, a light beer, bright, with a very dry taste that joins in the freshness of the final notes of malt and hops. I did not know this beer, but which henceforth I’ll look for among the shelves. A beer that along with roasted chickpeas with smoked paprika (recovered from my drug dealer official of spices Francesca of “Tutte le spezie del mondo“), nicknamed “the chickpeas of good intentions” (one chickpeas = one new aim), frankly, it’s amazing.

And so, we toasted:

For the new intentions and for the good things to come!
Think positive and cheers!

A very, very easy & delicious recipe. One of those that does not detract time to chat, but rather draws them! So … no excuses #youmusttryit!

Ingredients
1 can about 700 gr of chickpeas
(drained weight about 460 gr)
2 tsp olive oil
1 tsp sweet smoked paprika
1/2 tsp  hot paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt

Doses for 4 people

Cooking time: about 1 hours

Drain the chickpeas, rinse them under cold running water and then dry them with a cloth.

Combine the oil, salt, garlic powder, sweet and spicy smoked  paprika in a large bowl. Add chickpeas and toss to coat evenly. Transfer the chickpeas to a parchment-lined baking sheet and  spread  them out in a single layer.

Prehat the oven at 400° F and bake about 50 minutesor until slightly golden and crisp.
Every 10-15 minutes shake  the  pan  to make them toast evenly.

P.S. Roasted chickpeas with paprika can be addictive. Do not say, then, that I have not warned you… 😉
